So a guests walks up to the counter tonight to be checked in. I start asking questions and he is answering. But then he asks the weirdest question. “So what do you wanna do tonight?” I looked at him with a confused look on my face. It was then I realized he had one of those damn earbugs in his ear. WTF!

Hello! You are trying to check into a hotel right now. Your little booty call can wait a minute. It probly was that same girl who came to do some favors for a guest if ya know what I mean. If not read my first blog.

For future reference, get off the phone. You are only wasting my time when I have sit here and wait on your conversation to end before I can do my job.

I guess I will have to start talking over their conversation until they are just forced to tell the other end to hang on or they will call them back.

I dont know what these girls were thinking bringing that kid in here tonight, but even the guests were annoyed! They said they didnt want a room close to them. Now that is bad!

The girl was like, “Oh, he does this when his daddy isn’t around.”. Like it was no big deal. Well I dont know what her idea of peace and quiet is but thats how we like to keep things in the lobby.

I told my boyfriend if I have a kid like that I’m putin it up for adoption! Not really but almost!

Never in my life have I seen so many lost people in one city.

I don’t know if its the air or Nashville just attracts some of the most damn ignorant, oblivious people. I have had some come in the front door and ask me if we were another hotel. (Sorry  cant give names. Don’t want neone finding me out.) We have a HUGE sign in front of our hotel as well as another on the side of the building. Do they just not have any investigative skills? No, I think not!

Not only that we get people who aren’t guest asking for directions. I don’t mind giving directions, I do mind giving directions ALL NIGHT LONG. There is a gas station next door. Go bother them. More and likely I’m busy posting a blog on WordPress.

So the question is…Would you elope?

Hotel Check-in 101

This is just a quick review on how to check -in to your hotel.

First go to the counter and state your last name. Thats all we need. Not your first and middle name or your maiden name. Quite frankly we don’t care! Once the clerk has pulled up your reservation, give them your credit card. Yes, we need a form of payment or you don’t stay. Just because you gave a number to reserve the room doesn’t mean its paid for. Let the clerk take it from there. Let’s not make this more complicated than it has to be. I will then give you your room keys and a registration card for you to sign. Yes, sign. If you wanna know what you are signing then read it. Its not a book, just a paragraph. And no I dont care what kind of car you are driving or where you park it. So dont write what kind of car you have. You are only waisting my time. Time I could be using to finish my homework or browsing the internet. Now go to your room and leave me alone for the rest of the night. Only call me if there is an emergency or you need a wake up call. Just because you are spoiled everywhere else you go doesnt mean Im gonna do it for you here. Now have a nice stay.

Hotels have put business centers in for the convenience of the guest. This is used for printing boarding passes, checking email, you know, quick things.

Hows a lady gonna sit in my business center and refuse to get out for other guests? How inconsiderate. The world doesn’t revolve around you! Get a freakin grip!

She has 8 minutes left before I start charging her ass extra!

Bless the guest that bring me food! But if you keep it up I am going to gain about 50lbs! Its bad enough all the pizza  joints give us food but you too. What happened to a good ol’ fashioned tip?

I feel so sorry for those at work today! Suckaaaas!

This is the day that I get to become sane again.

If there was a minor problem with your room, like not being on the side that you prefer, would you ask to change rooms?

Would you park in handicap to be closer to the door?

Do you rely on hotel shuttles to get you around?

Im not gonna lie. I am guilty of atleast one of these. But what if I said that all these were based off of one guest? Calls for a loooong night at work.

To no surprise we have so many people that are needy. I don’t mind helping someone out but if its something rediculous then I don’t have time for you. Don’t come crying to me cuz you’re a Diamond and didn’t get upgraded. Be happy you have a place to sleep. Alot more than what some people can say. Jackass! And OMG! You didn’t get your cookie. Worse than a kid. Im tellin ya. Boo freakin hoo! I don’t care. Why don’t you go see the homeless people in the back and see how good you really got it!
